Valentine's Day is coming. I am finding that now, more than ever, I am in need of quick and cute gifts to give for Valentine's Day. I am not ready to stoop to purely store bought gifts, but I don't have the energy to make crafty masterpieces that take hours. Anybody out there with me?

Today I am sharing with you two quick and cute gifts that you can whip up in no time. No eye rolling. It is true. Click on the Read More icon and I will show you how.

Check out this super sweet little Valentine box. The template for this box is from iKari Designs. It is the Perfect Packaging: Heart Cup. Let me tell you, this template could not be an easier or more user friendly. The fully layered PSD file let me customize the box with these cute Valentine papers from Creativity by Crystal. The box also comes with scoring lines so you know exactly where to make your folds. I left mine at 100% opacity so you could see in the picture below how they appear.

The second gift I made started when I first saw these cute cupcakes at Walmart. They are marshmallows on a stick. I planned my whole gift around these cute little treats. I placed a piece of styrofoam in a Valentine tin and put the cupcake sicks in the tin to make a bouquet.

Remember my little box from above? I used the hearts from the heart cup box template to add to my bouquet. I cut out the hearts, wrote sweet notes on them, and adhered them to a stick. I then added these to my bouquet.

The last thing I added to my bouquet was a picture of my oldest son holding a sucker identical to the one in the bouquet. I used my trusty ol' Photoshop to do selective recoloring to make the sucker stand out. Go here to find a tutorial on how to do this technique.

See? Both of these gifts are simple but still homemade and from the heart. Ready to make your own now? Make sure to have these supplies on hand:

I love the way you used the photo in the bouquet! SO creative. I really am getting into these templates too. What a great time saver, and yet, still "home made with love". THANK YOU ALL!!
