Hi Jessica, when I move my photo onto the template, I lose the white scallop edge (ie: my photo takes up the whole area, not leaving a white scallop edge) how do I keep a white edge...

Janet...you will need to create a new layer above your scalloped circle...create a new circle in a solid color, like gray on that new layer slightly smaller than the scallop circle. You can do that by using the circle marqueee tool, to make a selection...then fill with the paint bucket. Then on a new layer above that..bring in your picture...then "clip" it to the solid color circle by hovering your mouse between the picture layer and the circle layer, then hold down the "Alt" key and left click on your mouse.(you should see a half black, half white circle when doing this). This will mask the picture to the circle...and then you should have your scallop circle just below that.
