Silhouette Cameo and Class 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Jessica, I have signed up for the new silhouette Class and I don't even own the Silhouette Cameo machine. I thought maybe Jessica would get us another dealTo purchase the silhouette for us before class started. I had put it on my Christmas list but DH got me something else.
Please Jessica do your magic.

I bought mine at Amazon last week for $269 also PLUS it came with a roll of vinyl and the transfer sheets at no extra cost. I think it's US Cutter selling it through Amazon.

here's the link...www.amazon.com/Silhouette-Cameo-Starter-...332778412&sr=8-8

I so 't have the cameo I have the first silhouette that came out. I never figured it out. Would it be reasonable to take this course with this machine?

Thanks Marilyn

I have that same question... I have the original Silhoutte, too. I know how to do basic cutting, letters, separating and melding, but I've not tried anything else. Would I get anything out of this class using the older machine? Is it just the basics?

Based on the description you could use either machine because the Studio software is the same.

Yes, I had to upgrade to the Studio software after my hard drive died last summer. The disk I had originally was a much older version of the original software that didn't have the welding ability. The problem was that I lost all the original designs that came with that original software and some of the Quickutz design CDs that I have won't load into the Studio software library because the Studio software uses a different file type. I think the old designs on the disks can be manually loaded, however. I have not figured a way to access the old designs I used to have with the new software.

Do you know what the file format is??? Maybe we can help you out if you do know it.

I just got my machine last week and can not wait for this class to start. I thought it started today but don't see any lessons from the instructor. Am I in the right place? I have never taken a class here at Jessica Sprague.

Class starts on Monday--you should get an email that the lesson has been posted! You can also check in "My Classes", locate your class, and keep track of the postings there. Just checked over there, and Kerri has a "Getting to Know You" zip file available to download.

Re:Silhouette Cameo and Class 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I am so upset and confused and I hope someone can help me. I registered for this class last month. I got a thank you thingy and I created my account. I even activated my account. No money was ever taken out of my account as of today for it and I knew the class started today at 6:00 AM EST (that is very early) I went to my classes and nothing was there. I read on the blog that I would get some kind of code through email of which I never got and then go to my classes and download it. NOTHING WAS THERE! I need this class! Help Please!
