By overwhelming demand, and as a follow-up to Jessica's popular vintage photo editing class, This Old Photo, we bring you the first in a series of album classes designed to help you record your family history beautifully!

For many of us, family history can be intimidating. It's a heavy phrase that has a lot of meaning and typically connotes a lot of work, research, effort, and - for most of us - TIME that we don't necessarily have to commit to a huge project.

That's where this class comes in. If you've never started a family history album, or you don't know WHERE to start in recording your own family history, you've come to the right place!

In this first album, you'll focus on details and a few stories about your parents, grandparents, and other ancestors. Nothing too overwhelming, right? :) This is THE place to start if you've been "meaning to get to those old photos" you inherited! You'll find space for dozens of your vintage photos in the categories of "Parents", "Grandparents", and "Great-Grandparents", plus space for other photos you'd like to include. Other albums in the series will focus on extended family members, as well as dive into lots more details about those closest: parents and grandparents. Consider this our OVERVIEW album!

The album format is flexible enough to accommodate you whether you've got lots of photos or very few. We'll walk through the process of using both Quickpages AND full templates as we explore and document our own incredible heritage. I'll show you how to add in extra details such as tags and ribbons to customize your album.

At the end of class, we'll upload our albums to ScrappingSimply.com, and if you purchase the album it'll be printed and shipped to you! This makes the perfect holiday gift for family members - especially aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents, cousins, siblings, and children. What a wonderful gift to give this year: the gift of knowing a bit more about their own heritage!

In addition to creating our album, we'll discuss strategies for digitizing and organizing documents, memorabilia, photos, stories, and more so that you can begin a larger-scale, ongoing family history project as well. We'll take our first steps together in this class!

You'll receive:

  • Templates for the album
  • A full digital kit, including dozens of gorgeous, softly textured papers and embellishments
  • Journaling prompts for each section of the album
  • Access to upload your album to ScrappingSimply.com to share it with friends and family and/or have it printed as a hardcover keepsake!
