Our Goal: Create a Gorgeous Piece of Art for Your Walls!

In this self-paced, project-based class, you'll use Photoshop to add the addresses of all the places you've lived (or places you've traveled, or people who are important to you - anything goes) to a large-scale poster. I'll show you how to arrange numbers, resize and balance type, add graphical elements, and use Photoshop brushes for distressing the edges! I'll also show you how to resize your project for printing at any size from a postcard to a 24x36 inch poster, which you can have printed at home or at your local print shop.

How To Prepare for Class

For this particular project, you will want to start by gathering different places, names or facts that you will use in your poster. You will also need any version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. I also recommend that you take my free Course 1: We've Just Begun class before enrolling in this class. It'll give you the following skills you'll need:

Opening, saving, and closing Photoshop documents

Adding photos and using clipping masks

Adding type in a single line

Printing from Photoshop
