Digital Project Life
A Week-by-Week album You'll Make Throughout the Year!
Fully Updated for 2019, plus lots of new content!
What's In A Year? (Hello, 2019)
DIGI BEGINNERS WELCOME! With each new year comes new opportunities, especially when it comes to personal storytelling! It's so exciting to think about what the new year will bring, the experiences we'll create and the memories we'll collect! But scrapbooking an entire year's worth of memories may seem like a daunting task. That's why I LOVE Project Life by Becky Higgins*, where each week you create a two-page spread you can pack with your stories, big and little. It's a great, flexible system, and best of all? I've created a DIGITAL version of the same approach, with techniques in Photoshop that you'll use to make gorgeous pages to tell the stories of your life this year!
Our Goal: Document "A Year In Your Life"
Project Life* is more than a way of scrapbooking. It's an entire approach to memory keeping, even a new way of looking at, photographing, savoring, and saving the bits and pieces of your life. As a revolutionary new take on the traditional paper Project Life approach, I've devised a series of easy-to-use templates and digital materials to help you create Project Life pages in Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements), so you can complete an entire gorgeous, detailed album in a year, every year. You'll use these techniques again and again in other albums or digital projects you create, too! If you're new to Photoshop, this is a great place to start!
What You'll Learn
This self-paced course is fully updated for 2019 and the newest versions of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. We'll start at the very beginning (Mary Poppins had it right when she said it's a very good place to start. ha!) with video instruction in the very basics of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements: how to open and close documents, arrange elements, add type, and save our layouts in printable format.
We'll progress right along to creating Digital Project Life pages using one of my favorite Photoshop techniques: clipping masks. I'll even show you more advanced techniques, such as adding digital brushes, creative type treatments, and additional layout styles in Photoshop.
Since you're completing these tasks in the context of actually creating pages, you'll be learning Photoshop in a way that's easy and fun, AND memorable. These techniques translate to every project you'll make from here on out, so this course is an investment in future projects, too! (hint: you can make baby albums in a snap using the Digital Project Life format).
