It didn't take me long when I began collecting digital supplies to realize that I really HAD to find a way to begin organizing them, or I was in deep trouble. But the rigid folder structure of my computer simply wasn't enough to allow me to really find anything - should I keep materials by kit? Try to move similar items into folders? What about embellishments? Zip files? Brushes?
Over time, I've developed a system using the powerful Pixa software to get organized and stay organized as I continue to add supplies to my collection. Now when I am in a project and say, "This would be great with a small red circular something" - I can pop open any of several categories in Pixa to find just what I'm looking for. As I've used my organizational system, I've found that with a little weekly upkeep organizing can easy and fun, satisfying and most of all, a huge improvement to my workflow. Now I can be inspired by my supplies instead of despairing.
