LESSON 1 WRAP-UP & NEXT STEPS
I hope you have enjoyed Lesson 1! Keep working on your spreadsheet and your family tree, and try out some record searches on your own. If you find a great story or record, please let us know in the comments here, I can't wait to see what you learn about your people!
Getting Help
If you are having trouble finding people in your FamilySearch tree, or trouble searching records, adding to your tree, etc. there are a few resources for you! FamilySearch.org and the LDS Family History library network are both staffed by volunteers who will be delighted to help.
In FamilySearch, look at the Get Help menu in the top right corner.
You can call the main Family History library in Salt Lake City, Utah, or (my favorite) you can do a live chat with a volunteer researcher.
If you're interested in in-person help, you can find Family History Centers in some of the LDS church buildings worldwide. Click this link to enter your location and see the centers nearest to you. When you go in, they have computers, microfilm readers, and helpful volunteers.
Next Up
In the next lesson, I'll show you how to create the first two-page spread in our album! I'll see you there!
